I'm just annoyed. This Ebola crisis didn't start yesterday.
The DRC declared its outbreak in May. Since then, Uganda has recorded 20 cases, and Kenya has confirmed 9 this month alone.
Serious countries like Canada barred travellers from the DRC and froze visas for the DRC, Uganda and South Sudan. KLM suspended flights to Uganda.
What did we do? We claimed to have stepped up surveillance yet in February, the Health Minister himself told the House that his ministry received just ₦36 million of its ₦218 billion capital budget for 2025. The surveillance protocols clearly failed as (at least) one infected patient managed to arrive on a flight from Uganda.
This Ebola strain has no approved vaccine and no treatment. In the DRC, more than 4,600 of 9,552 confirmed patients have died so far.
I know the WHO advises against travel bans. They are mad. After the role they played during COVID, forgive me if I don't take their word as gospel.
While we treat the case within our borders, we should urgently, even if temporarily, restrict entry for anyone who has recently been in countries with active transmission. An Ebola outbreak in a country of over 200 million would bring Nigeria to her knees.

The woman was brave, she stood her ground, and the looters couldn’t get into her shop.
Whenever a protest turns into looting people’s property, it’s no longer a protest.
This is unacceptable!!!!!!

BREAKING: Nigeria: A Christian mother, Liatu Samuel Dawa, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the “crime” of evangelism.
Liatu shared her faith with a woman in Borno State who later converted to Christianity.
For that, Liatu is now behind bars and her family in hiding after Muslims threatened their lives.
The judge, A.B. Kumdila, imposed the harsh sentence.
This ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice.
The disgraceful action must be overturned and Liatu immediately returned safely to her family.
Free Liatu Dawa.

Today l was shot by the Nigeria police at Lekki. I was lucky that the projectile hit my leg. Still injured of cause, I am currently limping, but l am fine.
I am supposed to be angry at the Nigerian police, but unfortunately I am more angry at the politicians that put us in this mess. Nigerians, stop voting for idiots. #EndSARS
We achieved our goal, but unfortunately what was supposed to be solemn was made violence by the Nigeria police.
#APCMustGo in Lagos, our lives depend on it. APC is not a political party but an occultic group that must be stopped at all cost.

Six years later, not much has changed. Same government, same playbook of fear and intimidation.
Today, right here at the Lekki Toll Gate, citizens gathered peacefully to honor the lives lost six years ago during EndSARS. And how did the authorities respond? By firing tear gas at us.
Let that sink in.
Six years after a generation cried out for basic dignity, safety, and accountability in policing, a peaceful memorial is still met with an unprovoked tear gas attack?
The message is loud and clear, they are still terrified of remembrance, they are still terrified of accountability, and they are still terrified of YOU speaking up.
Expressing grief and sympathy is not a crime. Peaceful assembly and solemn reflection should not be met with state brutality and repression.
Effective governance is not about silencing the streets. It is about building a system that listens, that protects, that includes and that provides for everyone.
To every young person and resident carrying the vision of a better Lagos, never forget that your voice is powerful, that your vote carries your voice and that the ballot is the vehicle through which you can speak loudest and change the story.
We remember, We rise.

A heartwarming viral video shared by Hyderabad businessman Nishant Saboo captured a sweet gesture at a luxury car showroom. After spotting two uniformed schoolchildren admiring a Lamborghini from outside, the owner warmly invited them inside, letting staff click their memorable pictures beside the supercars and winning hearts across social media.

Instead of the APC government fixing roads, it is teaching us how to dodge potholes.
