My Aussie Flerf challenge is back and the reward has doubled!
Solve one or more of these simple and obvious Oz FE problems and you score $2K!
You must be Aussie, solve by Xmas and not make any unsolved problem worse than it already is
Tag your favourite Aussie flerf!
Impressive presentation on discord today @PiezoAetheric

We bounced a radio signal off Venus' surface! On 17+18 Oct the Dwingeloo transmitted and Astropeiler Stockert received the echoes, 42 million km each way. We decoded a 10-character message from the echo. And we're not finished yet: more echos on 24+25 Oct.

Last week, the winterovers gathered at @uw_icecube Lab for a team picture to congratulate Francis Halzen on the 2026 @NobelPrize in Physics! The team is very excited to help enable the world-leading science at @NSF South Pole Station! @doescience #Antarctica

This exceptionally rare photograph was taken by an Airbus Plaiades satellite on 30 November 2024 over northern Texas. The Plaiades is itself photographing *another* satellite (Starlink?), sitting much lower in orbit.
The reason for the different colours is totally fascinating.
The Pleiades satellites record images in multiple spectral bands: blue, green, red, panchromatic, and near-infrared. It takes the photos a split-second apart and combines the colors to generate a representation of what the human eye would see.
That's fine for stationary objects like trees and buildings, but not so good when the subject is travelling around the Earth at five miles (eight km) per second!
What’s more likely?
The millions of people per year who take southern intercontinental flights are lying
— or —
You, the flat earth believer are wrong

Yes lying about flights is a decade old. Gerbil was told it routes south east from Jo’burg to Sydney and somehow he makes that mean south east Asia via Dubai.
This flat earth claim must be almost a decade old. It’s effortless to debunk.
Is it laziness or grift @ChiseledTablet?
Add a what at each location?

Now add an azimuthal grid above the observers celestial sphere in each location, and this no longer becomes exclusive. I feel like you’ve been walked through this already.

Contrail from 1921.
Normal
Not scary
Not a great ratio for this flat earther

Did Alan hurt u @did8hurtu? 😜🤣
I have a great idea for @FlatEarthDaveX
An app that tracks the flerfs who have left FE for the globe since TFE.
I can’t keep track of it any longer. We need a database driven app!
(You don’t even have to worry about security for this one Dave!)
A starter for you Dave

For anyone claiming earth is flat… are you capable of having an honest conversation? I have yet to find anyone that makes this claim able to actually be honest and address verifiable evidence directly with any verifiable refutation, or an admission they cannot refute it.

Is there a flat earther that can help me understand how you can ignore observations like the south celestial pole, seen from every location in the southern hemisphere looking south with rotation opposite the north, that never moves laterally E-W and viewed simultaneously?
Can’t reply in that thread. Here are two examples of flights that work on a globe but are clearly impossible on a flat earth
