The hype is very well deserved, and absolutely the best that Marvel (and Disney for that matter) has produced since Infinity War / Endgame I need to preface this with saying, I was a Spider-Man kid, like the Sam Ramy movies were simply my shit back in the day. So I care deeply about the production of this franchise, Maybe a little too much Having said that, the 3rd act of this Film is hands down, without a doubt, the single best piece of Spider-Man media ever made. Comic books, TV shows, movies, all of it. Nothing comes close Tom Holland is just excellent as both Peter and Spider-Man. His performance was emotional and real, while still bringing that playful “marvel-esc” whimsical charm. One of the biggest criticisms of Tom’s Spider-Man is because of the MCU, he never had to struggle and have that “coming of age” arc that we get in both McGuire and Garfield versions, but Tom really nails it for me in this one. The entire cast really is great in this. But I especially loved Jon Bernthal as Punisher. I would genuinely pay the price of admission just to watch Tom and Jon just banter for 3 straight hours. Nothing is ever a 10/10, but Brand New Day is just about as close as you get (for me). I truly do believe Stan Lee & Steve Ditko would be proud 9.8/10 absolutely sensational
