🔥Hazen Fire Update May 3 @ 4:45pm:
4 SEATs (Single Engine Air Tankers) have been ordered to support suppression efforts on spot fires. They are not being utilized for the main body of fire at this time. The SEATs will fly in pairs, dropping BlazeTamer on the first drop only. After that, they will carry loads of water as needed by the incident.
BlazeTamer is classified as a water enhancer and is used as a suppressant, not a retardant. It is designed for direct attack on active fire. When mixed with water, BlazeTamer helps improve water’s effectiveness by reducing surface tension of the vegetation it is being dropped on.
Compared with traditional long-term retardants, water enhancers like BlazeTamer are intended to provide effective fire suppression with a lower environmental footprint when used appropriately and in accordance with agency guidelines.
As with all aerial suppression tools, BlazeTamer supports, but does not replace, firefighters on the ground.

🔥Hazen Fire Update: May 3 @ 2:20pm:
Please find alternate travel routes and do not enter the fire area along SR 85 and Hazen Road. Non-emergency traffic is impeding fire response and suppression efforts. Law enforcement has been requested to manage traffic in the area.
Air Attack and a helicopter have been ordered to support firefighters on the ground with water bucket drops, primarily on the northeast side of the Hazen Fire.
A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) is being implemented for the fire. Remember: Wildfires are a No Drone Zone. If you fly, we can’t. Unauthorized drones and aircraft can ground firefighting aircraft and delay critical firefighting suppression operations.
The #HazenFire remains 0% contained and is estimated at 558 acres.

JUST IN FROM ATTORNEY OF MAN DETAINED FRIDAY NIGHT:
(We are editorially choosing not to use his name and past mugshot right now due to no charges filed.)
“Scileppi Law can confirm that *client* was the subject of two search warrants issued and served on February 13, 2026. *Client* and his mother were both detained by law enforcement while the search warrants were being executed.
Neither *client* nor his mother were arrested in connection to this case or any other. *Client* has no link whatsoever to Nancy Guthrie and has no information related to her kidnapping. Like the entire Tucson community, both *client* and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed.”

The DNA from the gloves found 2 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home did not trigger a CODIS match AND did not match DNA found at the property per the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

JUST IN: I asked the FBI if their agency agrees with and can confirm PCSD’s elimination of the Guthrie family (including siblings and spouses) as suspects in Nancy’s abduction.

(Cont.)… The leads start at the command post and move to the field as needed, so that is a reason we're seeing activity build up as the day goes on that can ultimately lead to a search warrant looking for Nancy and any suspect involved. @azfamily

-Nanos says like after Rio Rico, we should expect more of these types of events as investigators work through all leads. Says that every day moving forward there will be a lot of police activity. As to what level of activity, that is dependent on what lead…. @azfamily

-Number of people detained: Anyone at the residence was technically "detained" since it is standard procedure to give investigators the freedom to conduct their search. Â Nanos wasn't at scene & doesn't know exact number. No sign of Nancy was found at the residence. @azfamily
(1) Per Sheriff Nanos:
-At the leave scene last night - the was nothing of a shooting or suicide. Â
-A traffic stop was made on a person of interest. The individual was cooperative and later released.

CONFIRMED: PCSD says heavy law enforcement presence at a neighborhood IS connected to Nanci Guthrie.
This is 5 minutes away from Guthire’s Tucson home. We are waiting for more information.
