We aligned facial expression features with mPFC neural population firing

Lastly, we showed susceptibility and resilience can be decoded and predicted from facial expression dynamics.

We showed mPFC population dynamics predicts future resilience or susceptibility before stress exposure 🤯

We used longitudinal 2-Photon imaging to track mPFC valence populations, and PCA to measure cortical dynamics during chronic stress. Chronic mild stress blunts population dynamics and is reversed after Ketamine application.

First, we used unsupervised k-means clustering to classify susceptibility to unpredictable chronic mild stress, and showed anhedonia classification predicts associative learning performance.
