It says a lot about the “expert” class that they had to completely redefine what words meant to justify their claims about Gaza.
Changed the definition of genocide, famine, and almost every other accusation to justify lobbing them.
Now they are utterly discredited.
De Waal declared a famine somewhere that received record war zone aid per capita. The result has been a population in relatively better health than many surrounding countries. So now he has to invent a new version of “famine” that relates to some subjective view of dignity instead of objective measurements on food insecurity and malnutrition.

People don't understand how insanely high IQ Newton was. This is a man who had no background in math or algebra until he was ~20. In <3 years, Newton got himself to the frontier, then invented calculus, thought of the inverse square law, and the theory of colors & light. He was so intellectually superior he withdrew from the scientific community because he had no peers. Only when Halley was trying to calculate planets' motion by means of an inverse square law, he remembered he knew this old, extremely intelligent professor; he might be able to help him. When the problem was taken to Newton, he said "it's such and such." How do you know, asked Halley. "I proved it a couple of years ago." That's what led to The Principia; it was the exposition of what Newton had uncovered in his younger years and was lying around as a pile of private papers.

Most nations, historically, would have annihilated Gaza after 10/7 - slaughtered every fighting man, destroyed every base of support for them, and pointed the broken survivors west to try to find mercy in Egypt.
Today, we are expected to take media from the literal terror state which launched the war at face value, and blame the VICTIMS for a response which killed 2% of the aggressor's population.
It almost cannot be over-stated how absurd this is. Prey morality, socialism, and similar philosophies are cancers based upon the exploitation of empathy - which spread through society like gray-green mold through bread, and occasionally must be cut out in the same way.

Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival.
She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said:
“I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.”
Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life.
She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said:
“I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me.
I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for.
Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die.
Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you.
My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.”
When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead.
With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road.
“Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down.
While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire.
It didn’t stop.
It kept going, until the call was disconnected.
And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body.
Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people.
Her memory will forever be a blessing.

You have probably seen hundreds of aerial photos of Gaza looking like this.
And those photos are routinely presented as self-evident proof of genocide.
There is a problem with that argument:
A photograph of a destroyed building tells you that a building was destroyed. It does not tell you WHY.
So let's add back the part you almost never see in the rubble photos: what happened before the photo.
