I hope Australia doesn't eventually get the idea to try and follow suit. We already monitor internet traffic and store that personal data for years.
Chat Control passing, forced through under a technicality despite wider opposition among the EU Parliament is a disgrace to freedom worldwide.
This legislation will make the private conversations of all EU members government property, forcing their content to be scanned on devices before any encryption can be applied.
This ruling makes a mockery of human rights, and we all must fight against it.
