Gestern Abend habe ich mit meiner Tochter die Reportage Ć¼ber Annabell gesehen, die seit Jahren mit Long COVID und ME/CFS lebt.(ZDF37Ā°) Ich frage mich, wie lange das alles noch so weitergehen soll. Es muss sich endlich etwas Ƥndern ā€“ und zwar schnell. FĆ¼r Annabell, ihre Eltern und fĆ¼r alle anderen Familien mit MECFS. Ich habe auch richtig Schiss um meine Kinder, da Genetik ja weder bewiesen noch widerlegt ist. Ich wĆ¼rde gern mit eurer Hilfe etwas umsetzen, nicht neu, aber visuell ā€žmachbarā€œ Ich mƶchte Schuhe aufstellen, mit kleinen Schildern dazu: Name oder Pseudonym, Krankheitsbeginn und ein paar Worte, die uns beschreiben. Mutter, Ƅrztin, Handwerker, Sportlerin, Kind ā€“ einfach wir als Menschen, nicht nur unsere Diagnose. Ich kĆ¼mmere mich um die Fotos und die gesamte Gestaltung. Long Covid as Russian Roulette Doctors tend to be more concerned about the chance that someone will develop long Covid from repeated infections than they are that a person will get very sick in the acute phase of the illness. Covid can cause long-term damage to nearly every part of the body and repeated cases can compound those harms. A number of studies have shown that each time someone contracts Covid introduces an opportunity to develop long-term symptoms. Researchers often compare it to Russian roulette: Any infection could be the one that leads to long Covid. ā€œEvery time thereā€™s a wave, thereā€™s another wave thatā€™s going to follow with patients developing new onset long Covid,ā€ said Akiko Iwasaki, an immunologist at Yale University.

I might be feeling a little more worse for wear than normal today but my heart is full. FFP2+ and lft+ required for entry. Monthly meet ups held in varying locations in London, every event I've volunteered at there has been at least one new attendee. This time there were two!
