I take back every last word of this.
I got my start doing baseball analysis because I wanted to be just like Jeff, and I know I’m far from the only one who’d say that. To become his colleague and then to call him a good friend has been an honor. And I couldn’t be happier for @based_ball to now call him a competitor.

At the base of the Bob Uecker statue outside American Family Field right now: A single, unopened can of Miller Lite.
“I must be in the front row.”
One of the highlights of my early STs with the Brewers was when Ueck, on his way to the press box, would pass through the work room of all of us anonymous, entry-level staffers, and in those few seconds never failed to make us all laugh. The definition of lighting up a room. RIP.
Not going to tweet much (“sky” much?), but looking to build out my timeline, so if I see your posts on here, and you want me to see your posts over there, feel free to do the thing.

FanGraphs started as a nerdy blog, but its become so much more: it's helped people fall back in love with the sport, or love it in entirely new ways. It's inspired college theses, and helped with high school homework. It's helped kids connect with parents, and parents with kids.
In true @FanGraphs fashion, I compiled a spreadsheet with links to everyone's submissions as well as commentary.
This is what you're supporting when you support FanGraphs. If you're on the fence about a membership, this is a great indicator of its value.
