The August Wilson Society remembers the life and legacy of James Earl Jones, a monumental figure in theater. His unforgettable portrayal of Troy Maxson in Fences brought August Wilson's words to life. Rest in peace.

Join the August Wilson Society in remembering and celebrating August Wilson: Pulitzer Prize-winning Playwright, Poet, Powerhouse. On October 2, 2005, he joined the ancestors, but not before delivering to us and to the world the gift of his American Century Cycle plays. Ashe!
