Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing new accusations of hypocrisy.
In order to make sure people don't take advantage of his taxpayer-funded grocery stores, the mayor's office may roll out a "library-card-esque system" to keep things in check.
Critics are now pointing out that Mamdani has opposed voter ID laws in the past but may now embrace a "customer card" system to block any fraud or abuse from hitting the grocery shelves.

NEW: President Trump says ongoing talks are Iran's "last chance" for a deal, with negotiations focused on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and denuclearization, as one person is now reported missing after an unidentified projectile struck a Liberia-flagged ship in the strait. This marks the fourth attack since Friday.

Singer Tate McRae has become one of the music world’s biggest rising stars.
Last year, she joined forces with Morgan Wallen to record “What I Want,” the fifth single released from his “I’m the Problem” album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became McRae’s first chart-topping hit.
In addition to the music, her reported relationship with NHL star Jack Hughes sparked political speculation after he joined team members and laughed at a joke made by President Trump during a congratulatory call for their Olympic hockey win.
Many fans are now asking: Will Tate McRae and Jack Hughes get engaged this year?
Our sponsor Kalshi’s prediction market shows an 8% chance.

A high-stakes fight for the future of the Democratic Party is happening in Michigan as far-left candidates clash with the establishment on the primary stage.
The Senate primary pits far-left insurgent Abdul El-Sayed against Rep. Haley Stevens, a more moderate candidate backed by the establishment.
The race is just one of many happening in the Midwest that could reveal how far to the left the Democrats' base has shifted ahead of November's midterms.

The debate over women's sports isn't slowing down, and now @ClayTravis is putting $10 million on the table.
The @Outkick founder is challenging the defending WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, to face a boys high school state championship team, arguing the league should stand behind what supporters of transgender inclusion in women's sports believe.
"If the Aces beat my team, I will give them $10 million."
Travis notes the prize would amount to roughly one-third of the Aces' estimated annual revenue.
So far, there has been no public response from the team.
Replying to @Riley_Gaines_
@Riley_Gaines_ hits back at the WNBA after security made her put away her sign supporting Sophie Cunningham:
"It shows you very clearly that the league has an agenda that they're trying to purport that is not representative of reality at all."
Gaines says she made sure the sign followed league rules and contained "nothing derogatory, nothing negative, nothing political."
She argues the league had no issue showing fans on the jumbotron with Pride flags, trans flags, and "Protect Trans Kids" shirts, while her sign supporting Sophie Cunningham was singled out.
"The league often says they have a problem with people like Sophie bringing politics into sports. The league doesn't have a problem with politics in sports. They have a problem with conservative politics in sports."
NEW: @nickshirleyy explains being chased and threatened with a knife through the streets of Ceuta, Spain allegedly by Moroccan migrants:
"We saw a guy reach for his knife and he said he was going to stab both of us, so we obviously ran as far as we could."
"Our car was parked like right next to where the guy was where he threatened to stab us so we had to get in a police car and then have them drop us off so we didn't get stabbed."
@IngrahamAngle
"Under these socialists, with Mamdani as the key ideological leader, is making life tangibly worse for the people that they govern."
"That's turning our streets into third world hell holes. And they're doing it with a smile on their face because they know that's ultimately their goal."
"Their goal is control of these cities."
@RepBrandonGill slams Mamdani's proposal to bring fresh groceries to NYC prison inmates as another example of what he calls "insane" Democratic socialist policies, including defunding the police and allowing criminals back onto the streets.
"I think the Democrat Party is starting to implode under this."

NICK SHIRLEY: "Why didn't the women come here?"
MOROCCAN MIGRANT: "Women are in the house, like it says in Islam."
@nickshirleyy came face-to-face with the men who illegally broke through the Spanish border and asked them why they came there, why they refuse to leave, and why they didn't bring their families.
"If you had no job, no money inside of your country, why would you leave your wife there?"
"The Moroccan government let them through, and then the Spanish government literally opened up the gate for them."
@IngrahamAngle reacts: "This is conquest. This is not just looking for a better life. It's clear they've got a goal."
