If the NHS runs hot all the time then small changes make a big difference. This is the folly of years of efficiency drives that have eradicated the slack that’s needed when demand rises. Govts must recognise this and provide funding to create headroom: staff, beds etc to prevent

Really sad news today regarding the deaths of two nurses, Areema Nasreen and Aimee O’Rourke.
I’m starting work in Adult ITU at @StGeorgesTrust on Monday to help with Covid Response. I’m very much a combination of terrified and proud.
