Dante was responsible for some of the greatest fights, episodes and scenes in Black Clover. This might be his final act in the series, but he sure made history. Great character, fulfilled his part PERFECTLY.

Honestly, I’d say most shonens MC don’t have lofty goals, the more classic shonen “soul” comes from expansive fantastical worlds to explore, large casts, separated arcs and long form storytelling. That’s what more modern shonens lack.
