221 places are still waiting to be discovered. 💙
Some are somewhere you’ve been.
Some somewhere you’ve always wanted to go.
And some might be somewhere you’ve never heard of before.

I thought I already knew what Tokyo felt like before making Mentally Here.
Neon, crowds, trains, buildings, movement.
But the more I looked into it, the less Tokyo felt like one place.
It started feeling like many different worlds living next to each other. 💙

I’ve been quietly working on Mentally Here for a while now.
It started from something very simple.
Sometimes I’ll be sitting in front of my screen, going through an ordinary day, and suddenly my mind is somewhere else.
A beach I miss.
A mountain I’ve never seen.
A city I want to walk through.
A garden that somehow feels familiar.
I may not be there physically, but for a moment, I’m mentally there.
That feeling became this collection.
256 windows into places we remember, miss, dream about, or somehow feel connected to.

The Art of Blue Zones is not a documentary project, and it is not a scientific explanation.
It is my visual interpretation of a question I could not stop thinking about:
What if the places we live in are part of the reason we live the way we do?
I wanted to translate that idea into landscape art not as a literal map, but as an emotional archive.
Mountains became endurance.
Seas became atmosphere.
Villages became continuity.
And each Blue Zone became its own language of longevity.
What I found most moving is that people in these regions are not usually trying to “optimize” longevity.
They are simply living.
And longevity appears as a result.
That idea stayed with me.
