2,000 years ago, Greek historian Polybius predicted the cycle of government decay, known as anacyclosis, and how the American founders tried to design a republic that could resist it...

During this event I was paying attention to the stocks of both Tesla and SpaceX, as Tesla went up, SpaceX went down…
Why is this…
Imo, people that are interested in SpaceX have a serious view on real world applications, and as a flying car is cool, does it have real benefit for today’s roads? Tesla people see this and aren’t as up to date with SpaceX saw this as a very impressive display(which it was), and with that came the increase in its stocks…
I’m a huge fan of both but I’ve seen this(SpaceX) before and it wasn’t as shocking to me, so I might be a bit off the fence on this, towards the SpaceX practical side…
I hope for the continued success for Tesla, as their cars are the equivalent of today’s horse vs Model T scenario…
The market is gained by certain advantages, one being the design, if the design is not good, there may be a reason for this, it’s not in their favor to market self-driving and EVs…
My understanding is that this is solely because Tesla has a huge lead, to positively market self-driving and EVs, is to market for Tesla…
I'm also grateful...

We are in an age where communication in a large part isn’t the words being said but the emotions on display, large groups are playing this game, and a lot of people aren’t looking at what a group/company does for perspective but the emotions around discussions that come up around this group/company…
People are being romanticized into agreeing or disagreeing…
If you are in a cycling black hole of depression, negative thoughts, I get focusing on the good can get you out and help you…
…otherwise I would rather focus on the bad so I’m great at detecting problems that are solvable, to become a great problem solver…
Restricting AI sounds responsible until you look at who actually pays the cost.
Rules only bind the labs willing to follow them. Everyone else keeps training.
If you demand proof of compliance, you hit a second problem: AI is too complex to verify quickly, and any inspection deep enough to matter also possibly gives away trade secrets. The companies that open the door slow down and leak capability; the ones that refuse rules keep both speed and secrecy.
In a field that moves this fast, that lag is not a modest delay. It can take a lab out of the race. The risk of Doomsday type uncontrolled systems does not disappear either way. The difference is whether the groups trying to steer toward a better outcome are still competitive enough to make a difference.
Groupthink is very dangerous and influential...
"Groupthink is when the desire for harmony overrides independent judgment, so members suppress doubts and settle on a weaker decision than they would have made alone."

I'm under the assumption that a large number of businesses only survive because the average person isn’t that smart...
This makes me concerned about the state of education...
...or is this just "Artificial Evolution" in play?..

If you look to succeed outside of the norm, your confidence needs to be on the level of delusional...
