The astrology side is already a business 🌕
In India, the largest market, Astrotalk went from about $14 million in FY22 to about $78 million in FY24, then about $145 million in FY25. More than 10,000 astrologers on that platform alone, about 4.5 million paid sessions a month. AstroSage added practitioners at roughly 170% in one year.
Outside India, published figures put the global paid market anywhere from about $5 billion to $15 billion in 2026, depending on whether you count apps or the whole sector, and Pew found that about 30% of US adults consult in a year. Published forecasts put growth at roughly 8% to 25% a year.
The people who get paid for a chart are not fewer. They are more, and they are online. .astro is the name they put on the work.
The other side is the sky itself 🔭
About 10,000 professional astronomers worldwide. More than 400 US clubs in NASA’s Night Sky Network, which has reached 7.4 million people.
Tens of thousands of amateurs with a telescope. Citizen networks already find asteroids and refine exoplanet orbits.
