The Tadpoles Nebula! Recently I imaged this with a new Sightron Quad NB filter, the ZWO585mc and my Evostar 80ED. Needless to say: I love this! #astrophotography

Happy 2025 all, hope your new orbit goes well! What seems to be a trend of mine is the Flaming Star Nebula. It's an important nebula to me and I liked how this one turned out! 3hrs x 10min subs, ASI2600, ED80, Antlia filter #Astrophotography

Dang ☹️ just heard about Alyn Wallace. I never had the chance to meet him but he was clearly a super passionate astrophotographer and educator. No full details released yet but so very saddening to learn about

Does anybody know a resource where I can generate the black and white star maps? Like this on Wikipedia upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped… I've found the constellation specific ones on the IAU site, but is there somewhere I can make my own? #astronomy #Astrophotography #starmap @IAU_org

Working on reinstating my website. Unfortunately some domain reseller snatched up astrofarsography.com so I'll have to work on buying that. But astrofarsography.co.uk is under my possession again. Just got to work on the rebuild now!

I'm not too proud to admit I've been struggling a lot. This year has been quite hard, especially for my partner. I've not really been out at all. I even contemplated selling up. But I'm trying. Seeing if I get some mojo back in winter. For now, here's NGC7000 #astrophotography

Off out again this evening with the telescope. Tested 5min with the L-uLtimate. Planning on getting about 3-4hrs on the flaming star nebula if all goes well I've also remembered my dew bands this evening 😂 #astrophotography

Recently I treated myself to a new telescope. With it, I decided to hope on and image comet ZTF. Just dropped a little behind the scenes VLOG of how it went capturing this particular comet! On YouTube now youtu.be/UWk-6rSuc6Q #Astrophotography

For those wanting to guide on the #cometZTF with an @zwoasi ASIAIR device & can't find comet tracking. Loop guide cam 3s, find the comet in guidescope. Manually chose the comet as guide "star" and then change to 1s loops and hit guide. I'm now doing 3m subs #Astrophotography

@mdverde this is how I'm managing to track the comet. Basically I've told the tracker the comet is the guide "star"
