Five Nobel Prizes trace back to peptides. Most people have never heard the story. 🧵

1977 and 1984. The brain makes them, and one chemist worked out how to build them. Every research peptide made today stands on this. astramide.com/?utm_source=x&… Research use only.

Fiber is helpful, but helpful isn't the same as essential. The glucose benefit comes from soluble fiber, which slows how quickly starches and sugar from a meal reaches the blood. Insoluble fiber does little for blood sugar. So soluble fiber's value for glucose control depends on how much glucose there is to slow down. With carb-heavy meals, it can make a meaningful difference. With low-carb meals, there's less to blunt, and the value mostly depends on whether a person may still want some fiber to keep bowel movements regular.

5. Find who tested it, and when. Look for the testing lab, the report date and a signature or approval. If any of it is missing, ask the supplier before you rely on the report.

1. Match the lot number. The lot on the certificate has to match the lot on your vial, character for character. A clean report for a different lot tells you nothing about yours.

FDA Holds Talks on Temporary Access to Restricted Peptides On 28 September, the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC) met with FDA officials to propose temporarily allowing selected peptides to be prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies while longer-term regulations are developed. The proposal asks FDA to exercise interim enforcement discretion, subject to conditions including: Peptide APIs sourced from validated cGMP manufacturers. Compounding under applicable USP standards. Patient-specific prescriptions and enhanced risk disclosures. Mandatory reporting of serious adverse events. Collection of data on peptide use. The meeting included APC CEO Scott Brunner, board chair Philip Smyth, advocacy chief Tenille Davis and Emory University researcher Dr Donghai Liang. According to APC, FDA staff asked detailed technical questions, although the agency has made no public commitment. The discussions follow the July FDA advisory committee vote recommending six peptides for compounding: BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Semax and Epitalon. The committee voted against emideltide. On 7 October, the Washington Post reported that administration officials were considering temporary access to certain peptides while permanent regulations are developed, citing two people familiar with the discussions. No peptides have been newly authorised as a result of these talks. FDA has not announced an interim policy, identified which substances would qualify or provided an implementation date. The significance is that the compounding industry has now presented FDA with a specific proposal for temporary access, and federal officials are reportedly considering such an approach despite continuing concerns about insufficient safety and efficacy evidence. Running a peptide is only half the job and you need make to make sure you have the cofactors to assist each compound Here are a few things I pair with each peptide and why BPC 157 - do not aggravate the injury further - Protein for the raw material to repair with - Vitamin C so your body can actually lay down collagen - Pairs well with TB 500 for bigger systemic repair GHK Cu - Vitamin C non negotiable it is what lets collagen get built - Collagen or protein the glycine and proline are the bricks - Zinc the one people miss GHK brings copper in and the two have to stay balanced Tesamorelin and Ipamorelin - Timing beats any supplement GH release gets blunted by carbs and insulin TAKE FASTED - Dose away from food give it a clean window I like 2 hours after last calorie - Protein so the GH can convert into IGF 1 and tissue - Glycine supports output and sleep which is when the work happens Reta and Tirz - Electrolytes first sodium potassium magnesium behind most of the fatigue and cramps - Protein to hold muscle while you drop fat - Fiber to stay ahead of constipation - Hydrate on a schedule your thirst is blunted - TUDCA worth a look since fast fat loss taxes the gallbladder and that’s the last type of issue you want to deal with - Short walks after meal The point - The peptide sends the signal the support gives your body what it needs to answer - Nothing to build from means a fraction of the result - Feed the signal and you get the full effect

Throws the whole concept of "third-party tested" out the window. Pretty wild that people are doing this and don't see the issue. US fill / lyophilizing company sent me a bunch of bad batches. Argued with me that Freedom wasn't accredited (they actually used ILS as an example of a (cannabis-)accredited lab) and said they would send them to Horizon to verify... they happen to own Horizon. I laughed.
if a manufacturer tests their product at a lab which they also have an ownership stake in, is that a problem for customers?

We're a small team in Texas. We run businesses too. So we built the supplier we wanted. Every lot tested in the USA. Every result public, pass or fail. Don't take our word for it. Look one up.

You'd never pay a vendor without an invoice. Why buy without a lab report?
