Big change to options trading starting Monday, October 19.
Cboe is expanding trading hours for options on 24 stocks and 5 ETFs, including $SPY, $QQQ, $IWM, $GLD, $XLF, $NVDA, $TSLA, $AMD and $MU.
New trading hours (ET):
- Pre-market: 7:30 AM to 9:25 AM
- After-hours: 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM
More flexibility to trade around economic data and breaking news, but keep an eye on liquidity and spreads.
More trading hours don't always mean better opportunities. Check with your broker for availability.
