I'm convinced I'll be getting off TikTok. All my interests are gone. No jazz. No R&B. No classical movies. No tennis. No F1. No art galleries. No travel. No comedy. No philosophy. No selected cooking shows. Just loads and loads of useless ads and guitarists, rock stars, baseball & hair products for my Caucasian cousins. Thanks but no thanks. Clicked 'not interested' 100 times today. I don't think they've checked out my profile picture.

Of course they are. Why would you invest in a country where you can't decide who you want to employ?
DA MP Kingsley Wakelin says the government is pushing investors away due to its current economic policies. Wakelin states that foreign investors are scared of the country's BEE policies. Watch: tinyurl.com/48f57564

72-year-old Austrian cyclist Rudolf Köberl-Labenbacher called his wife Hertha in Vienna, told her how majestic Africa was, how much he missed her, and that he was eager to get back on the bike for the sunset. Roughly two hours later, SAPS rang to say he was dead. He was cycling about 4 km outside Swellendam on the N2 towards Heidelberg, Western Cape, on Wednesday 14 October 2026 when a vehicle struck him. He suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by medical personnel. Swellendam police opened a culpable homicide case. The family has heard nothing further from police since and is still waiting for answers while trying to get his body repatriated to Austria. He and Hertha had been married nearly 50 years; she is heartbroken and not receiving visitors. This is the reality of the roads in the Western Cape; another cyclist (the sixth fatality in 10 months according to local cycling bodies) wiped out, family left in the dark thousands of kilometres away, and no arrests or clear details released. News24 turned his last loving words about “majestic Africa” into a clickbait headline while the actual circumstances stay buried under an ongoing investigation. Reckless driving, weak enforcement, and zero accountabilit, the standard South African road package for locals and tourists alike.

You may have seen I made those from 5litre water bottles. Generally plants like being potted up. Bearing in mind that orchid roots benefit from sunshine I decided on this design with additional good orchid growing medium. Orchid nurseries use a decorative selling pot to market.

I do. I was blessed with thinking skills, nothing to do with apartheid laws. I graduated with an engineering degree, nothing to do with apartheid laws. I had R36 when I arrived and a job. nothing to do with apartheid laws. I’ve been working in South Africa for 53 years. nothing to do with apartheid laws. I suspect that my success was as a result of diligence, effort and luck. nothing to do with apartheid laws. So where is this privilege I was supposed to be getting?

Come on now Rod. Don't be a cry baby. Which laws deprived you of your current privileges. You currently live amongst the 1% wealthy South Africans, way better than the average black person.

As the late Joe Modise said, “we (ANC) gave the Nats six cabinet posts, and they (Nats) gave them the whole country”. No Johann, we voted for a new democracy where everyone would be treated equally. The country was the biggest economy in Africa with modern diverse industries. Redress should’ve aimed for uplifting the poor and there is only one tried and tested method of doing that. Grow the economy! The best social programme ever devised is a job. Next, is a top class education system. Instead the ANC devised a self enrichment system which destroyed the functioning SOEs. They installed an educational system that is arguably poorer than Bantu education. They threaten the very system and people who are the most productive. They levy a race based 30% capital tax on companies. With over 140 race based laws it’s not hard to see that the ANC is implementing punishment, not redress.

Stop parroting Afriforum's nonsense. The laws aiming at redress does not take away your rights to own property, freedom of where you can travel or live, what university you can go to etc. Redress and Apartheid are ways apart. The fact that you bitch about the redress unmask you!

I said this about private donor funding to the NPA. I maintain that position today because he or she or they who pays the puppet master, calls the tune. @NPA_Prosecutes Look at what happened at SAPS, pockets of the NPA etcetera! #MadlangaCommission

The "lecture" is Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis’s 66-page affidavit responding to the ConCourt’s Tafelberg order. He states the City is not in breach of its housing obligations, claims substantial progress through releasing 14 land parcels (potential for ~7000 units, many affordable) plus more in the pipeline, and stresses severe limits from shrinking national grants. Critics highlight zero completed affordable homes in the CBD and surrounds since 2017, with sites mostly still pre-construction.

Gastrointestinal infections (gastroenteritis) involve inflammation of the stomach and intestines. Causes include viruses (e.g. norovirus), bacteria (e.g. Campylobacter, Shigella, E. coli) or parasites, often via contaminated water or food. Symptoms: diarrhoea, vomiting, cramps, sometimes fever. Cholera is a specific severe bacterial form caused by toxigenic Vibrio cholerae. It produces profuse watery "rice-water" diarrhoea, vomiting and rapid dehydration, spread mainly by contaminated water. Not all GI illness is cholera. In the current Bronkhorstspruit outbreak, lab tests found norovirus, Campylobacter, Shigella and high E. coli in water, but no cholera bacteria in patient stools.

More than 400 cases of gastrointestinal illness strengthen our call for an independent #EngineerGeneral as a #Chapter9Institution. Such an office could empower citizens and stakeholders to hold @CityTshwane, @DWS_RSA, @GovernmentZA and engineering practitioners accountable for unsafe water, poor value for money, weak implementation and inappropriate engineering solutions. #AgendaForEngineering

Former teacher & now self-made water & sanitation expert, Comrade Pemmy “Jou ma se dinges” Majodina says she is putting together something she calls “a response team” for the gastrointestinal outbreak there by that Tshwane dorpie called Bronkhorstspruit. The reactionary, badass response team will, amongst others, investigate why folk that side opt for the very lethal tap water instead of bottled still water from Woolies.
[WATCH] Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says the government has established a response team following an increase in gastrointestinal illness cases in Bronkhorstspruit and surrounding areas. Majodina says the team has been in place since 13 October, while a delegation led by Deputy Minister David Mahlobo was deployed to assess the Bronkhorstspruit water works. #Newzroom405
