Pakistan claimed that a second Afghan national fighting under the banner of the Pakistani Taliban was killed by its security forces in Waziristan within the past week.
The Taliban has not officially commented on the issue yet, but the group has accused Pakistan of providing a safe haven for ISKP, while Pakistan, in turn, blames the Taliban for sheltering the TTP.

The Taliban's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Khan Mohammad, described as an "Afghan Mujahid" who had been imprisoned in the U.S. for the past two decades after his arrest in Nangarhar, has been released in exchange for some American prisoners. He was reportedly serving a life sentence in California. Details about Khan Mohammad鈥檚 case or the identities of the American citizens released in exchange remain unavailable at this time.

Russia has begun to turn Iran into a gas hub
A Russian gas pipeline is to be built through Azerbaijan to Iran. Deliveries are expected to start with 2 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
Additional gas will be supplied by undersea pipelines from the Caspian Sea, bringing total gas exports to 110 billion cubic meters per year.
Iran will then export the gas to countries in the region using its ports and infrastructure.
The entire gas supply will replace the sabotaged Nord Stream, which was intended to turn Germany into a gas hub
