अद्भुत गीत है कुरजां
लेकिन यह उन बहुत थोड़े से गीतों में से एक है जिसका सुखांत लिखा गया है। बाकी राजस्थान में परिस्थितियां इतनी विषम और कठिन रही हैं कि पलायन और आजीविका के लिए परदेस प्रवास जीवन के स्थाई तत्व रहे। ऐसे में अधिकांश विरह गीत ही लिखे गए हैं।
यूँ तो संगीत में विरह का अपना एक राग है, मेरे सुने अबतक के सभी विरह गीतों में राजस्थान का कुरजा सबसे शानदार है।
मूल गीत में एक नवविवाहिता की उसके पति से दूरी की बात कही गई है। इसमें नायिका सारस पक्षी जो कि राजस्थान में प्रवासी हैं उंनसे अपनी विरह वेदना और संदेश का जिक्र बहुत ही खूबसूरत तरीके से है। सीमा मिश्रा जी सहित अनेक लोकगायकों ने ग़जब गाया है।
