@AskLyft My Lyft driver drove off with my pet cat still in the car. I was taking my cat to a vet appointment, I was sitting behind the driver and had the cat carrier on the floor of the passenger side back seat.

Staff at my apartment complex just told me with a straight face that they are raising my rent 30% so now I have to move, but the alternatives are also too expensive: An Austin story
It’s moments like this when TX is in the middle of a bunch of inclement weather—from freezing temps to fires & tornadoes—that I’m most angry @GovAbbott & @DanPatrick spent 2021’s legislative sessions stoking culture wars instead of on infrastructure or anything truly productive.
