“Half pressed man-to-man”

🚨🎙️ | Michael Carrick reacts to Bruno Fernandes' comments where he seemingly questioned the tactics: "We actually half pressed man-to-man in the second half and conceded from that. "If you don't RUN, don't run forward and you don't run back you are NOT going to win."

No anticipation of where the ball will go next, everyone just ball watching. It's so poor!

How did we end up with two Chelsea rejects as our starting midfield pair in the Champions League

🚨🚨🗣️ Como head coach Cesc Fabregas asked about links with Manchester United and whether he’d like to be in the frame to be the club’s next manager: “I WON’T answer that question because I think that’s not a very nice question. “I don’t think that shows enough respect to a GREAT footballer and manager like Michael Carrick at the helm of a wonderful Manchester United side.” #MUFC [@TyMarshall_MEN]

The 'problem' being Maguire. Anyone with any football intelligence understands he hinders top level play

🚨🗣 Erik Ten Hag: "So our identity should be dynamic, attacking football, counter-press, and that is what Richard and John DEMANDED me to do. Play possession in the opponent’s half. Of course they want to win. Old Trafford is the Theatre of Dreams. They want adventure football. You then need the profiles. For me, you NEED the ball-playing centre-back and you need a ball-winning centre-half also able to play on a high line. “I said for the first season, ‘Centre-half, there’s a PROBLEM, centre-midfield, there is a PROBLEM, and especially I need a strategist. Then we need goals’. And that was the biggest issue in all my three years: goals.” [@lauriewhitwell,@TheAthleticFC]

🚨 - JUST IN: Michael Carrick had a meeting with Jason Wilcox today, where club chiefs maintained BACKING for him. However, they have made clear that this backing is CONTINGENT not only on an upturn in results, but also on an improvement in the team's overall performance. [@SullyTalkz/@UtdDistrict]
