*So* excited by the ideas and sketches coming from the artists who have stood up to join us in supporting Ukraine. We expect to be able to publish the first set within the week.

Artists! Wish you could use art to react to the Russian invasion, but don’t feel like you can take time away from paid work? We can help! Looking to commission multiple pieces capturing the heroism of UA resistance to tyranny, one of our core values. DM for details, and share!

The responses so far have been fantastic, and we welcome more. There are a ton of inspirational moments to capture and symbols to illustrate over the last few days.

This one is ours! Just wildly evocative, and so many stories we want to tell in this world. Thanks @Brucedraws for the worlds you create!

If you’re a fiction writer—even outside of TTRPGs—@SlyFlourish’s Lazy Dungeon Master method is a great intro to building compelling narratives without heavy preplanning (the “pantser” rather than “plotter” approach to novels).
The best compliment we can give @netflix’s Dracula series is that it feels like @ChrisPerkinsDnD telling a new Strahd tale.

Here’s an exercise: you are tasked with designing a big adventure that is easy to run/consume on a stream. What do you do? How do you approach it? #dnd

Very much this! Especially after Baldur’s Gate underwent a massive refugee crisis and its response mirrored the real-world political dynamics that have followed such crises.
There was a review going around that talks, initially, about Baldur’s Gate being a lot darker now. There’s a logic to that in the overall plot, but it’s not just that. BG should have been seen that way for a while. (Short thread)
Imagining what @schley would do with this.

We suspect @Wizards_DnD is going to continue this pattern with an adventure in (or guide from) Planescape next year.
WOTC has been doing a good job of giving us a bunch of different environments with their adventure releases. No place is really the same.... Hell, Mega Dungeon, Urban, Jungle Sandbox...etc.

So much this! The tenderness of this piece is exquisite. @DaniHartel also did our profile pic, and we can’t wait to work with her again!

So when our div wizard casts, she’s... just being historically accurate?

The amount of effort @Wizards_DnD and @DnDBeyond are putting into making #dnd accessible to first-timers—not just to D&D, but even to #ttrpg—is delightful.

Agree so very strongly. So exploitative to value creators’ time that little.
500 USD for an entire animation is absolutely ridiculous. This is wrong. Don't work for the potential of getting paid peanuts for weeks if not months of work. Rather spend the time on your portfolio or own projects.
.@DaniHartel was an absolute delight to work with—who in your party needs a portrait like this for a birthday present??
My first #DnD Character Portrait Commission is finished! This was an absolute blast to work on. I love love love this kind of work. 💕🌊 #ttrpg #fantasyart #oc
