Sad to discover that John Mayall has died aged 90. A great blues advocate & creator of The Bluesbreakers. Alumni include Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood & Mick Taylor. Not bad for a art student who started work in a Manchester department store
Another example of Therese Coffey's wilful ignorance about the effects of Tory rule & the cruel hardships which have been avoided. Why would you want her as your MP?
Don't vote for a Truss denier. Don't vote for an MP who ignores her constituency. Don't vote for Coffey

Glad to see that Thérèse Coffey is as absent from Suffolk during the election campaign as she has been during her entire run as our MP. Maybe now voters will get the message & elect someone who actually lives in & cares about our county. You're also judged by the company you keep
Something for all budding authors to check out

Huge congratulations - DanceEast's light will continue to shine (with LEDs, of course!)
We are delighted to have been awarded £270,000 in capital investment from @DCMS via @ace_national, to modernise the lighting, projection, and equipment in our theatre, enabling the Jerwood DanceHouse to become one of the best equipped dance venues of its size in the country.(1/2)
This warmhearted, funny & thoughtful play opens on Monday at the Gallery Studio in St Georges St, Ipswich, & runs until Saturday. Don't miss it!

Had my final birthday treat - a trip to the moon with Tom Hanks! Enjoyed an immersive experience at The Moon Walkers @_LightRoomLDN, Using 1000s of high res stills & film shot by astronauts, screened in wrap-around IMAX, you are placed on the moon's surface. It was awe-inspiring.
The first actresses on the English stage are being reborn at The Gallery Studio in Ipswich in Playhouse Creatures, 8 – 13 April 2024 - book now (gallerystudiotheatre.co.uk) 5 gutsy creative women - including Nell Gwyn, Becky Marshall & Mary Betterton - a few oranges & a theatre!!
Pleased to lend my support to the Save Suffolk Arts protesters at Endeavour House today. Here's Wolsey Theatre legend Brian Theodore Ralph getting cheers by reminding SCC that the arts bring business to the county & kickstart careers as well as providing a good night out

Dr Andrea is right, so much charity grant aid is based on match-funding the local authority - let your councillor know they are making a big mistake
Many Suffolk arts organisations - including @FoodMuseumUK - have become highly skilled at combining small grants to pay their way. But with @suffolkcc pulling out a financial lynchpin, there's a danger that others will follow and we lose a lot more than the council will gain...
Sign this & hopefully SCC will realise the strength of people's feelings - the people who vote for them at election time!

Also a shout out to former @mercurytheatre regular David Tarkenter who breathed life into the ebullient Hume Cronyn (aka Mr Jessica Tandy). A wonderful play about theatre and the process of rehearsal. Playwright Jack Thorne allows us to see the process of creation.
Fantastic time watching The Motive and the Cue at the Noel Coward yesterday. Felt that John Gielgud and Richard Burton were on stage thanks to dazzling performances from Mark Gatiss and Johnny Flynn.
I've signed the Save Suffolk Arts petition. Please add your name to remind SCC how important the arts are, not only to our quality of life, but also to the county's economy #savesuffolkarts
