Sorry to interrupt. You guys seemed like you were enjoying a really cool chat about things, but I just wanted to mention we’ve teamed up with @joelycett and @BM_AG to create three pin badges celebrating Joe’s brilliantly neon EVERY THING MUST GO exhibition.
There’s Martin from Hull, the enormous pink woolly mammoth; the exhibition’s tombstone artwork; and a Nokia 3310 carrying perhaps the most Brummie one-word question ever sent: Snobs?
A tiny tribute to @snobsnightclub, indestructible phones and plans made using 10p texts. Simpler times, when arranging a night out required one word, four buttons and absolutely no idea where anybody was.
Like the exhibition itself, the badges celebrate the people, places and things that have left us — or, in Snobs’ case, simply moved again. And again. And again.
They are available exclusively, solely and only from Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery’s actual physical gift shop. You must travel via leg, enter a building and purchase one like it’s 2002. No website. No link in bio. No little basket icon.
