Did you know? ✨
“Stranger in Paradise” — the iconic song from Kismet — actually comes from a melody written decades earlier by Russian composer Alexander Borodin.
The tune was adapted from the “Gliding Dance of the Maidens” in his opera Prince Igor… and here’s the twist — Borodin had already passed away long before the musical premiered.
Yet, when Kismet won the Tony Award, the composers had to acknowledge the original genius behind the melody. A posthumous triumph for Borodin 🎭✨
✨ Now, experience the ORIGINAL version live on stage!
Join us for our Spring Gala as we close our 25/26 season:
📍 May 2 – Broward Center for the Performing Arts
📍 May 3 – Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
Don’t miss the chance to hear and see Borodin’s masterpiece as it was meant to be ✨
