Congratulations, Kevin, well deserved!
Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle is BA's 2026 MLB Rookie of the Year 🎖️
McGonigle authored one of the strongest debut seasons of any player in baseball history. In his age 21 season, the former first-rounder posted an AL-leading 7.1 bWAR, slashing .278/.376/.430 and adding his first MLB All-Star Game appearance.
McGonigle is the first Detroit Tiger since Justin Verlander (2006) to win BA's MLB Rookie of the Year.

For over 40 years, Edward Hopper painted only one woman: his wife, Jo.
She posed for every female figure in his work.
The cost for her was steep: her promising career as an artist disappeared in her husband's shadow.
Hopper made loneliness visible.
But how do you make a painting feel lonely when nobody looks sad?
He thought through every detail in Nighthawks.
▪️ Nobody talks.
▪️ The street is empty.
▪️ There’s no visible door to the diner.
▪️ Nobody seems to care about anyone else.
Everyone is close together. Yet somehow, everyone is alone.
That’s exactly why it feels so lonely.

Years ago, I believe it was Gary Moeller, who said after a Michigan loss, they have 22 positions up for grabs. I am beginning to believe something drastic needs to happen. What a disorganized offense performance. Bryce needs to get it together!
Michigan looks completely lost on offense. They didn’t have the ball much, but when they did - what was their game plan - please, someone tell me!!

How can you not love this guy?!!!! Carlos, welcome back.
Just a thought: Regardless if you agree with Michigan getting the one second or not, they still had to make a play and they did. The refs did not give Michigan a TD.

A question for #DetroitTigers fans: Are your beloved Bengals, the former Beasts from the East, going back to their home cap on the road? Never a big fan of the orange Olde English D cap, but as Sergei Fedorov said a few decades ago, “Everyone entitled to their opinion.”
Women’s tennis is so wide open, extremely competitive. Terrific for the game!
