🇧🇷🇪🇺 TODAY’S ADDRESS TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT Today, I had the honor of addressing the European Parliament alongside @pfigueiredo08, at the invitation of the ECR Group @ecrgroup @FidanzaCarlo @AdamBielan, to discuss Brazil’s elections, political persecution, and the importance of ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process. I began by expressing my regret that I could not attend in person due to a recently issued arrest warrant against me by Alexandre de Moraes, whom I consider a notorious human rights violator. I made a clear appeal to Members of the European Parliament: closely monitor Brazil’s elections. I also addressed issues that extend far beyond our national borders: 🇬🇧 UNITED KINGDOM: The growing challenges to freedom of speech and cases of individuals being arrested over social media posts. 🇫🇷 FRANCE: Recent outbreaks of violence, the unwillingness to openly debate illegal immigration, and the consequences for public safety. 🇧🇷 BRAZIL: Political persecution, the potential impact of international sanctions, and questions surrounding USAID funding. All these developments are deeply interconnected by a common thread: the erosion of freedom in each of these countries. During the meeting, the São Paulo Forum was brought up twice. I also shared my perspective on the potential of the Shield of the Americas to strengthen regional cooperation in the fight against narco-terrorism and organized crime. I expressed my gratitude to the European lawmakers who have closely followed the situation in Brazil, thanking them for their letters, expressions of solidarity, and prayers. I also reaffirmed our unwavering commitment to the principles of God, Homeland, Family, and Freedom, alongside our dedication to public safety and economic development. I concluded by asking God to bless all those facing these challenges, both in Brazil and across Europe. The defense of freedom does not stop at national borders. And Brazil’s voice must be heard.
