A huge thank you to Jonny Roberts for Sharing his photography skills with year 11 today! This first hand experience has really helped them to understand the creative and cultural industries. I can't wait to see their own photograph in response to what they learned!
Matthew setting up his still life at Lawrence Street studios today and drawing from direct observation.
Matthew and Lauren, year 13, got a tour of Lawrence street workshops this afternoon. Artist and owner, Martin Carter, gave them a tour of the studios and they created some fantastic drawings and photographs. What a brilliant experience for these young artists!

Year 11 worked in pairs to match words to famous paintings then presented their reasons to the class. I’m so impressed with their insight and how well they spoke using specialist vocabulary. These young artists are just wonderful!

Inspired by the #davinci exhibition at the Ulster Museum, year 11 are practicing classical drawing style, focusing on shape, form, tone and line. They coffee stained pages to give that old, worn look.
