Sacramento State has partnered with beloved Elk Grove native and NFL star @arikarmstead's nonprofit, the @ArmsteadProject, to guarantee admission to underserved youth. President @DrLukeWood and Armstead signed the memorandum of partnership commitment during a ceremony today. AAP is the latest organization the University has worked with to create a seamless pathway for students to continue their education, resulting in a 3.1 percent increase in enrollment and the largest incoming class in Sac State history. AAP was co-founded by Armstead and his wife, Dr. Melinda Armstead, to advocate for education equity and increase graduation rates in underserved communities and has assisted more than 4,500 students in Sacramento, the Bay Area and Jasonville, Florida.
