Embedding AI into robots and vehicles so they operate safely and dependably is one of the most complicated systems engineering challenges we face. Its also essential to unlocking massive productivity gains across the physical industries that together account annually for $75T of global GDP. This is what the teams designing compute platforms @Arm think about every day. Consider something as seemingly simple as moving a robotic finger. A tiny microcontroller driving an actuator needs to coordinate with sensors measuring motion and force. That finger needs to coordinate with the other fingers, the hand, the arm, and ultimately the entire robot. And all of this needs to happen safely, predictably, and in real time. This is truly fun to work on! Solving challenges like these is where the Arm ecosystem shines. I thoroughly enjoyed discussing this with Ani Kelkar at @McKinsey's Physical AI Summit. We covered everything from building SoCs that enable autonomous action to how our Arm Total Design for Physical AI program is helping make this easier. We also discussed our call to action for the industry to come together and establish better ways to describe robotic capabilities by joining the the Robotics Capability Framework working group. But what I enjoyed even more was hearing from others tackling different parts of this enormous challenge. Carolina Parada at @GoogleDeepMind shared perspectives on building foundation models for robotic intelligence, while Stefan Nusser @IntrinsicAI discussed advances in intelligent automation. Amit Goel discussed the impressive work @NVIDIARobotics is doing in robotics and Quinn Li gave some interesting insights to how @QualcommVenture is thinking about how they invest for PAI. It's an exciting time to be working across this industry, and there's an extraordinary amount of engineering ahead of us. At the @McKinsey's Physical AI Summit, @drewhenry discussed the compute challenges of scaling physical AI.   From real-time performance to safety and efficiency, he shared how Arm's flexible compute platform supports the next generation of intelligent systems.   Great discussion on advancing physical AI! 👏

As we embody AI in machines that sense, decide and act in the physical world, we need a common language for describing what those machines can actually do. @Arm is working across the industry to develop a Robotics Capability Framework—a shared foundation for defining, measuring and comparing the capabilities of increasingly intelligent robotic systems. We invite the robotics ecosystem to join us in shaping it. arm.com/markets/robotics/rob…

Your badge. Your code. Make it your own. 👾 At Arm Create, developers didn’t just wear their badges — they hacked them. Personalize the screen, play Snake or Flappy Bird, track the International Space Station, or build something completely your own. What would you make yours do?

Most globally important UK Hqd company? Probably ARM Holdings, whose chip designs, rooted in Cambridge history of Acorn/ BBC Micro are now in 350 billion devices, it calculates. It has now shifted into making its own chips for AI data centres. Peaked at $400bn plus valuation earlier in the summer after being bought by SoftBank and floating on Nasdaq: Exclusive interview with CEO Rene Haas at its Cambridge HQ. Future of AI? Who wins - the cloud, or the devices/ robots? Are cheap open source models really capable of doing 90% of the frontier models? CPU or GPU? If Arm’s now making its own chips, why not the UK? Can other nations still invest in its place in AI supply chains like Taiwan with TSMC etc? youtube.com/watch?v=WVtUO-ff…

🎙️NEW BIT BY BIT EPISODE: @austinsemis sat down with Drew Henry, EVP of Arm's Physical AI unit. One thought-provoking idea: a humanoid hand may be harder to build than an AI data center. And another: physical AI could impact productivity even more than you realize. Why? Global GDP is ~$115T. Roughly ~$70T+ of that is physical (manufacturing, transportation, construction, mining, agriculture). Only ~$40T is digital. And the physical side runs on a tenth of the compute the digital side gets. Many more insights here:

Migrating to Arm is only the beginning. Together with @AWS_Partners, @Atlassian demonstrates how developers can optimize their workloads on Arm Neoverse-based AWS Graviton through production-scale testing, JVM tuning, and workload-specific optimization. The results are higher performance, lower latency, and greater efficiency at scale. 🚀 okt.to/AmtTXU

@Arm CEO Rene Haas tells CNBC’s @MorganLBrennan that demand for AI infrastructure remains strong, with chips, data centers, energy and workers all limiting supply. The industry could stay supply-constrained for the next two to three years, says Haas in an exclusive interview at the Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit. $ARM #AI #chips #datacenters #tech cnbc.com/video/2026/07/15/ar…

Every category that has gone through hardware commoditisation has seen the value migrate. Sometimes to software, sometimes to data, sometimes to distribution. The Physical AI version of that migration is happening now. The candidates are real and competing. Foundation models and the data underneath them. Chip architectures and the AI workloads they unlock. Perception stacks and the cameras that feed them. Industrialisation discipline that moves a product from prototype to factory floor. Software, services, and the long-tail integration work that turns a robot into a deployable system. MACHINA Summit 2026 is hosting a panel on exactly that question. The companies on stage cover most of the candidate answers. Rob Knight, Co-Founder and Chief Robot Officer at @UMA_Robots . Robert Sun, Co-Founder and Founding Engineer at @DexterityAi . John Kourentis, Director of Go-To-Market, Physical AI Business at @Arm . Cécile Schmollgruber, CEO at @Stereolabs3D . Moderated by Zeke Arlott, Group Business Manager at Metric. Expect a conversation grounded in where margin actually sits in the Physical AI stack, who captures it, and what the next two years of competition look like once hardware advantage stops being the differentiator. MACHINA Summit, Europe's Leading Physical AI Event. Join us in Paris on 7 July at Station F. Grab your ticket: machinasummit.com/ #MACHINA2026 #PhysicalAI #Robotics
