🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT 🚨
All lanes of WB I-20 at US 287 are currently closed while officers work a multi-vehicle crash.
Please avoid the area and seek an alternate route. Expect delays if you’re traveling in this area.
We’ll provide an update once the roadway reopens.
Arlington PD is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of Lovers Lane.
One person is deceased. No officers were injured.
The incident remains under investigation. We will release additional information as soon as it is available.
UPDATE: At around 10:45pm Thursday, officers responded to a home in the 1700 block of Lovers Ln for a suicidal subject call.
During the call, an officer fired his weapon at a man who was armed with a knife.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
UPDATE: Arlington PD is investigating an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a 56-year-old man who was armed with a knife.

As is standard anytime an officer uses deadly force, two investigations are taking place:
One by the Homicide Unit, which will review the incident as a whole -- and one by Internal Affairs, which will determine whether dept policies were followed.

The 1400–1600 blocks of Mayfield Road are completely closed due to a water line leak. Crews are working to address the issue, and there is currently no estimated time for the roadway to reopen.
Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.

A Union Pacific train is currently stopped along Division Street while crews work to address an issue with the train.
The train is blocking BOTH the Davis Drive and Bowen Road railroad crossings, impacting northbound and southbound traffic.

Avenue E is closed in both directions at Duncan Perry Road due to a serious crash.

A gas leak has been reported at 2819 W. Park Row Dr.
Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to avoid the area. According to Atmos Energy, the response is expected to last at least three hours and could take longer.
Please use alternate routes if possible.
APD, in partnership with @FBIDallas, has made an arrest in connection to the 2012 murder of Irasema Chavez.

We need your help to locate this man, 66-year-old Pablo Gonzalez-Herrera, who was reported missing from his group home earlier this evening.
He was captured on camera leaving his home, which is along Byron Ln (near Davis & Lamar) at around 3:10pm
