Let's be clear, to all who think wearing the uniform at an early point in one's life inoculates them from doing bad and sometimes illegal acts later in life.
It does not.
This dude β¬οΈ served our nation valiantly and with honor.
Until he didn't.
He was a strong supporter of American Independence for most of the war.
He won key battles of the Revolution.
Some historians consider him one of Washington's favorite and most trusted Generals.
They were even friends.
He signed a loyalty oath to the U.S. on May 30, 1778.
None of his earlier work fighting for the American cause meant a thing once he decided (mostly resulting from personal grievances) to betray his friends, his commander, and his country.
It meant nothing.
Early loyalties and heroics ultimately did not make him a good guy.
Maybe @BarackObama can pick up the phone and call @SenatorSlotkin. She might need a quick chat.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government canβt selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But thatβs exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, itβs important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administrationβs fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone β all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And itβs not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies β from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omarβs life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and sheβs been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omarβs political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, thereβs no reason to believe it will stop with her β or that future presidents, in either party, wonβt do the same.
The man @DrAmishShah wants to represent a significant portion of Arizona, and refuses to answer a simple question.
Pathetic.
Dr. Shah - In your ads you say you reached across the aisle to pass fentanyl legislation.
What is the bill number that you got passed?
In the last few years I see the bills that @QuangNguyenAZ got passed. If you passed one I want to give you credit, but I'd like specifics.

Talking points from Silver Rail Elementary School. Before any name, photo, or motive was released, multiple accounts posted the exact same line:
βWilling to bet my house that the mass shooter at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon was a MAGA white supremacist. This is why they shouldnβt be allowed to own guns.β
The shooter was a 16-year-old male. Thatβs the only confirmed detail so far. Everything else is speculation.
This is the playbook. Tragedy occurs. Blame the other side. Push the policy. Ask questions later.
Silver Rail Elementary School is being used as a talking point before anyone even knows who did it.
Was @BarackObama a friend of Arizona when he conspired to break federal firearms laws to run Fast and Furious, resulting in the murder of Brian Terry with one of those guns?
No he was not.
Pardon me if I want him as far away from Arizona as possible. We don't need his style of fundamental transformation.
President @BarackObama has always been a friend of Arizona and Iβm honored to have his support again.
I'm so proud of all weβve done to move Arizona forward these last four years, and with your help, I'm ready to keep putting Arizona families first for another four.
3 weeks, Arizona. Let's go win this.
I think we are just left with SpongeBob memes while we wait for @DrAmishShah to tell us if he was lying in the ad or if he really got fentanyl legislation signed.
What are we on?
Is it day 8 of trying to get @DrAmishShah to simply tell us what fentanyl bill he got passed?
I was willing to give him the benfit of the doubt that he did.
Now it seems he was just lying and can't produce a bill number.
They @WCn1tne are such nice people. π€£
Wait... weren't we told all this time that drag shows were not about sexuality and we were reassured that drag performers were not necessarily gay.
So is he telling us that drag shows are about gay guys? Or is he outing James Talarico? π€
Replying to @ArizonaPartisan
This makes no sense. I have christian friends that like drag queens. Whats the difference between Madea or Mrs Doubtfire? Conservatives love those movies when its a straight guy dressing as a girl. U only have issue when itβs a gay guy.Its comedy. Its not meant to be taken serious
Wouldn't a doctor know about ADA rules?
Why wouldn't he correct the people "telling him" that they do not have the right to ignore the ADA rules?
We are VERY disappointed that @jayfeely posted this message.
As we TOLD Mr. Feely...
@DrAmishShah parked exactly where we asked him to for this event.
That decision was made in collaboration with the facility for security purposes.
Must have been something I said... π€£
I've never claimed to not be Partisan.

Day 5 of trying to get an answer from @DrAmishShah to a claim made during a campaign ad.
I just want to know what bill he got passed.
The only recent fentanyl bills I see were from @QuangNguyenAZ.
If the doctor got bills passed, I would like to highlight them.
I'll take, "Things that are figments of @AbdulElSayed's imagination" for $800.
The ONLY person who may have said this to him would have been a campaign worker paid to say it on camera.

Replying to @UltraJohnus
Donβt get me wrong, I believe in the Second Amendment but you donβt fucking need ten guns
I challenge candidate @jamestalarico to release his medical records for the last month.
I challenged Ken Paxton to a debate 85 days ago, but no one has heard from him.
People are getting worried.
Iβve received credible reports he's suffering from a rare condition that causes clinical levels of cowardice.
@KenPaxtonTX: I am asking for proof of ability to debate.

"The Latino food..."
WTH?
Tell me you are not from here and are a Chicago carpet bagger without telling me you are a cringe poser, ass.
I grew up here from the early 80s.
I have never heard someone say "Hey, lets go get some tasty Latino food".
We call it Mexican food here because it is the cuisine of our region and neighboring Mexico.
Occasionally I've heard it described as "Sonoran cuisine", but never "Latino food".
What an insufferable d-bag @SenRubenGallego is.
In Phoenix you can golf in the morning, drive through Sedona and ski in Flagstaff all in the same day.
The Latino food, and culture scene is one of the best in the country.
One of the best Native American museums in the world is the Heard museum in addition to the other 22 tribes of Arizona. Plenty of culture.
Day 3 of @DrAmishShah not answering my simple question. I was going to give him credit if he did what he said.
