For vulnerable families, anticipatory action can mean the difference between hunger and food, a failed harvest or a productive one, children with milk or without.
With #ElNiño risks rising, early funding is critical to prevent deeper losses and hunger.

Appreciate @UNCERF’s $10M support.
With GAM at 37.1% in Burhakaba, scaling these areas is critical to avert risk of famine.
To avert famine in Burhakaba & South West State other areas, interventions must go:
➡️ Integrated health, nutrition & WASH focusing on mothers and under 5 children;
➡️ Livelihood support for rural pastoralist & agro pastoralists via Cash plus programming;
➡️ Emergency food/cash where needed.
The window is closing—scale up now to reach rural communities before famine becomes reality.
