I'm finally adding my short films to YouTube, starting with my 2013 student film, QuanTom. Please give a watch and let me know what you think. And subscribe to see the others as I add them. youtube.com/watch?v=cRFLI0PW…

Know that links are suppressed here, but in case you do see this, please subscribe. I don't really post on socials anymore so this is a good place to keep appraised of my writing (if that interests you.) open.substack.com/pub/pitche…

I have "Swanky's Swing" from DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 2: DIDDY'S KONG QUEST stuck in my head. What does this say about me?

What is the best legacy sequel?

Is there any single, meaningful creative industry that hasn't been devalued and damaged in recent decades? Journalism Cinema Literature Music Can you make a proper living in any of them if you're not an outlier? Are any of these industries truly healthier today than in 1980?

In clearing a hazard, is the @cityoftoronto allowed to dump material anywhere they want? In clearing a laneway, are they able to dump a private tree onto my property and block it? If they're clearing a car, are they able to roll that car onto anyone's lawn and leave it?

Can @cityoftoronto clean up after themselves? Remains to be seen, but please pick up the massive oak trunks you deposited on my parking pad (it was not my tree). I need that space back to park!

If having an extended flashback sequence made a movie a prequel, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE would be my favourite prequel. Loved the River Phoenix stuff as a kid. Continue to love it now. Just tremendously fun.

Haven't read a single piece of writing about FURIOSA that mentions that Dementus is a Fagin character (the nose is a tell). I'm sure someone has brought it up, but that it's not a main point of discussion shows how ignorant modern criticism is of literature and the classics.

Every third reply under a health or tech story is someone being like: "As we're on the verge of the Singularity, we need to start thinking about what to do with our infinite lives." or "I have reverse aged 10 years with these simple supplements." An unserious world.
