In this new post at The Nuzzo Letter, I explain how an editor’s conflict of interest explains why she rejected my letter on online abuse and sex-segregated data. In the post, I present my letter and the editor's response to my letter.

1/2. As revealed in the acknowledgments section of this paper, some of the authors were delegates to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Thus, it is unsurprising that they provide a one-sided view of "digital violence." Per usual, they refuse to cite polls that shown that roughly equal proportions of men and women report being harassed and abused online (see evidence in 2/2).
The only surprise for me was #3.
But he, I am a long time reader of @PhillipsPOBrien so I had a head start.
If you are interested in war and politics; maybe you should read his stuff as well.

Effe heel erg serieus ....
There is a lot of Russian propaganda in Europe. They have invested as much money in it as in weapons during this war. This is a massive financial program spanning decades. Russia has been waging a hybrid war against Europe, including Italy, France, Britain, and Germany, for a long time. It just isn't waging a full-scale war against them as it is against us. Because we had the same thing – a hybrid war. Russian narratives across absolutely all television and media platforms, on the internet, and on social media.
People should not be pierced through and brainwashed by waves of narratives from the Russian Federation. Because it is up to France, Ukraine, Italy, and Spain to decide how to live and whom to elect. Russia cannot influence Italy's choices and freedom. Italy is a free country, just like Ukraine.
The Russians will seek to exploit far-right movements, religious movements, faith, migration, and gender. Russia doesn't care what issue can divide society: from religion to language, Russia will always find it and strike there. We are seeing this now not only in Europe – they also have influence in the United States of America. They have a very significant wave going on there, and their network is operating.

The United States convinced Ukraine to willingly give up their nuclear weapons by promising to protect them from Russian aggression. Here we are, decades later, betraying their trust. Those who support Vladimir Putin are the enemies of freedom and democracy

Zelensky speaking the truth. The US is now a Russian ally, and the Starlink decision is a massive benefit for the Russian military (and it has nothing to do with Ukraine attacking Russian refineries).
The US is literally riding to Putin’s rescue.
BREAKING: Volodymyr Zelenskyy tells @piersmorgan he has been betrayed by Trump, that Elon Musk and the US deliberately cut off Starlink and people are being killed as a result
“This is not the right side of history,” he says. “It is a pity that we are losing a strong partner”
On Musk and Starlink he says: “This decision will bring a lot of human losses. Of course, people will die”
“I am sure they knew what they
did, absolutely. Because it was 1am at night, Starlink was blocked by SpaceX and the United States”
“It’s not just about attack. It’s also about defending life. So people were killed because, not enough destroying, not enough
interceptors, including interceptors with Starlink, which didn't work. Of
course.”
Asked if he’s angry with Musk, Zelenskyy says: “Yes, I think he is not right. It's a big mistake.”

"Now that the USA has joined China in being an open supporter of Russia in its war on Ukraine, there really is only one question. And that is, do Ukraine And Europe Understand What They Must Do?"

MORE: Moscow has insisted on painting Ukraine as the intransigent party in peace efforts despite the fact that Russia has not offered any concessions and has rejected numerous compromise proposals that the US and Ukraine have offered. Putin’s October 9 reiteration of his commitment to Russia’s unchanged war aims demonstrates the Kremlin’s continued unwillingness to accept any compromised peace proposals on any terms that fall short of fulfilling Russia’s maximalist demands of Ukraine’s complete capitulation.
Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, October 10, 2026: Russian President Vladimir Putin used his phone call with US President Donald Trump on October 9 to falsely blame Ukraine for the lack of peace negotiations' progress despite Russia's continued unwillingness to engage in meaningful negotiations or make any concessions to end the war in Ukraine.
Other Key Takeaways:
The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) is presenting a tailored weekly summary of the Russian forces' exaggerated military successes aimed specifically at Russia's domestic audience through Max – the new social media platform that the Russian state has developed to control the Russian internet.
US President Donald Trump's October 9 announcement about the diesel export deal between the United States and Russia disrupted the negotiations meeting between a Ukrainian delegation and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and former Senior Advisor to the US President Jared Kushner in Miami.
Ukrainian forces conducted drone strikes against oil and railway infrastructure in Rostov Oblast on October 10. Russian forces launched 160 drones against Ukraine overnight.
