The woman in the photo grew up literally down the road, won 4 Utah state championships (1 in this exact stadium), Gatorade Player of the Year twice, National Player of the Year, scored the fastest first goal in USWNT history…
Could probably be worth a mention, but idk.

No joke, this is why Americans havent completely bought into soccer.
My Achilles would literally have to be stuck on the bottom of this dudes cleat for me to carry on like that.
This joker got the call, stood up, and played the rest of the match. And Balogun gets the rest of this match, and the next, a win or go home off the pitch.
Clown stuff

Brazilian FIFA referee Rafeal Claus - who gave the US a ridiclous red card today - was accused of match fixing by "irregular red cards" in Brazil's Series A in 2023.
Claus had to testify in the investigation, but evaded charges bc of no direct evidence. FIFA stays corrupt AF.

if I were Germany, I would simply score four goals against Paraguay, like the United States men's national team
I understand pulling your best players off to rest because the game "doesn't matter" but imagine being the Norwegian fans and their national pride who paid to watch their team hopefully beat the French just to see a Dembélé hat trick in 30 mins... same with US losing last night
This is so dumb, hajar gets his first to celebrate and then its taken away while pierre deserved it and misses out on the joy of the celebration
BREAKING: Pierre Gasly has been reinstated into P3 for the Monaco Grand Prix
The Stewards have rescinded the two five-second penalties imposed on Pierre Gasly during the race for speeding in the pit lane

The British being unprepared to perform on American soil has been a tradition since 1776

If you post the VLR leaderboard screenshot after losing a match you clearly care so much about stats & public perception that you are also playing for those stats in the server.
It’s been like this for a while, but 75% of VCL duelists & upcoming players hard stat farm instead of playing for the win because that’s how players get scouted now.

🚨 Riot Games is reportedly in active discussions with tournament organizers BLAST, ESL, and PGL to facilitate their own VCT events for the 2027 season
Each tournament organizer would handle a few events a year, but Riot wouldn't just "hand over the keys"
(via: @ariiii)
This is great if third-party major tournament organizers have the opportunity to host meaningful tournaments during downtime.
The ALL NEW VCT:
- Everything is a tournament
- New Cups
- Open qualifiers for every single event
- Traveling roadshows multiple times a year
- Total of 20+ tournaments visiting 16+ cities
- Competition back in home regions
- Substantial revenue accessible to all teams
- Revamped partnership system
A lot more details coming later this year!
