I want to draw your attention to Hinal Gosai, a recent University of Liverpool graduate who achieved a 2:1 and is now looking for her Part 1 placement. This is the kind of student work that speaks clearly to practice, with a real focus on civic space, sustainability, and carefully resolved technical thinking.
Her BA3 project, Solaris, is a community cycle hub at the entrance to Liverpool’s Queensway Tunnel, a threshold that has long been dominated by cars and has fragmented the connection between Liverpool and Birkenhead. Rather than trying to smooth over that condition, Hinal makes it usable and meaningful. The scheme reactivates forgotten infrastructure through light, circulation, and adaptive reuse, asking how neglected urban spaces can become places people actually want to occupy.
The project is shaped by desire line mapping and noise analysis, with a cycle bridge set at the centre of the building and quieter gallery and mezzanine spaces protected from the traffic edge. A stained glass curtain wall, inspired by Liverpool Cathedral, filters daylight into shifting colour and gives the building a strong local identity. The technical proposal is equally well considered, with a glulam and concrete structure, rainwater harvesting, thermal mass, and south facing skylights all contributing to a more sustainable design.
If your practice is hiring Part 1 assistants, Hinal is well worth your attention. If you are a student and would like your work featured, we would love to hear from you. The link to connect with Hinal, along with all contact details and submission info, is in the first comment.
Today I want to draw your attention to Kimberly Yong from the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, who has recently completed her Master of Architecture and is due to graduate in July. Kimberly previously graduated with First Class Honours in BSc Architecture and has already built experience in practice as a Part I Architectural Assistant across research, planning, feasibility, spatial strategy and visual communication. She is now seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant role where she can keep building her experience in practice.
Her final design thesis, Forgeworks, proposes a new workplace in Cardiff for fabrication, semiconductor processes and satellite integration. The project tackles a clear architectural question. How can highly controlled technical environments, often hidden inside industrial black boxes, become more visible, humane and environmentally accountable. Kimberly structures the scheme around Knowledge, Care and Consequence, bringing together cleanrooms, laboratories, offices, servicing spaces, landscape buffers and public routes as part of one connected architectural system.
What makes this work compelling is the precision of the thinking behind it. Kimberly developed her own design method, tridimensionalism, to layer symbolic, functional and urban grids and organise complex spatial relationships. The result is a proposal that balances technical control with worker experience, civic legibility and environmental responsibility. Alongside her studio work, she has also contributed to exhibitions, research led material, international fieldwork and public facing events, and she is currently Exhibition Chair for the Welsh School of Architecture Summer Show 2026.
If your practice is hiring a Part II Architectural Assistant, Kimberly is someone worth speaking to. Her work shows strong visual communication, careful spatial thinking and a serious interest in how architecture connects people, industry and the wider city. All links and contact details are in the first comment. If you are a student and would like Architecture Social to feature your work, please check the first comment for submission details.
The move from university into practice is not easy, which is why I want to draw your attention to Benita Onuoha, a Year 5 Master of Architecture student at Cardiff University. Benita brings a serious combination of academic strength and grounded experience. She completed her undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.96, received the Dean’s Award as the best graduating student in her department, and has also built practical skills through community based project work alongside her studies.
Her thesis project, Continuum, looks at the future of Underfall Yard in Bristol, the city’s last active boat repair yard. The proposal asks a clear and timely question. How can architecture protect a working waterfront from climate pressure and redevelopment without stripping away its cultural identity? Benita’s response combines spaces for repair, remembrance, training, and public use, creating a place where traditional boat building, heritage interpretation, and community life can continue side by side. The project is thoughtful in the way it deals with difficult history, environmental risk, and the long term value of keeping craft knowledge alive.
What stands out to me is that this is not just a strong visual project. It is backed by real engagement with people, heritage, and construction. Benita’s placement work with Ty Banc Canal Group gave her experience in community engagement, stakeholder communication, proposal writing, fundraising support, and project coordination. Her design research also explored timber joints and how new interventions can sit carefully alongside historic fabric. For practices hiring Part 1, Part 2, or junior team members, Benita is clearly someone worth speaking to, especially if your work touches housing, heritage, adaptive reuse, public projects, or community led design.
If your practice is recruiting, or if you know someone who is, take a look at Benita’s work and reach out. If you are a student or graduate who would like to be featured by Architecture Social, we would like to hear from you too. The links and contact details for Benita, along with submission information for future features, are in the first comment.
If you are an ARB Architect with strong Revit and RIBA 3 to 4 detailing experience, this is a smart move. A respected London practice is hiring for existing building and cladding packages, with site exposure, hybrid working and a culture that backs good technical people into Project Leader responsibility.

The move from university into practice can be difficult, which is exactly why I want to draw attention to the work of Yash Shetty, a Part 2 Architectural Assistant who has recently completed his MA Architecture at Anglia Ruskin University. He previously graduated from the same school with First Class Honours in BA Architecture, and his academic work has already picked up serious recognition, including the RIBA East Student Award for Outstanding Student and Best Architectural Project, the Architects for Health Judges' Special Award for Innovation and Sustainability, and the RIBA Chelmsford Chapter Best Project Award.
Yash’s final thesis, The Living Wells, explores how adaptive reuse can respond to very current social and environmental pressures. Set within the Grade II listed Ladywell Playtower in Lewisham, the project reworks a disused Victorian bathhouse into a community led food growing and learning hub. The proposal is built around year round vertical farming, with produce distributed through a community kitchen, café, market space, and workshop programme, creating a place for food production, learning, employment, and local connection.
What makes this project stand out is the balance between clear social purpose and technical depth. Yash developed the scheme through heritage conservation, environmental design, structural thinking, and construction detail, showing how an existing building can be carefully adapted without losing its identity. Alongside this, he brings more than two years of UK practice experience across residential projects, technical drawing production, BIM workflows, planning, and multidisciplinary coordination. If your practice is hiring a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, Yash is well worth a conversation. His LinkedIn and contact details are in the first comment.
If you are a student or graduate and want your work seen by the people who hire, Architecture Social would like to hear from you. Submission details, along with Yash’s profile link and contact information, are all in the first comment.
Today I want to draw your attention to the work of Leilou, a third year student at the Welsh School of Architecture and a content writer for Noel Isherwood Architects. Her work is rooted in small scale sustainable architecture, and this project shows a clear interest in how design can help rebuild shared civic life.
Her proposal rethinks the Welsh lido through the industrial history of South Wales. As coal, iron, and tin plate production declined, many communal lidos disappeared too. Leilou reads that loss as part of a wider erosion of communal identity in post industrial communities, and responds by treating the lido not as nostalgia, but as civic infrastructure that can bring people together again. It also feels timely, given the renewed interest in outdoor swimming in recent years.
Set near Radyr weir, the scheme is powered by the stream to the north. Small stone pools cascade along the south bank, while the buildings are carefully positioned to frame the water and the character of the site. It is a thoughtful piece of student work that connects history, public use, and environmental awareness in a clear and convincing way.
If your practice is hiring and wants to speak with a student who can combine research, social thinking, and design sensitivity, Leilou is worth contacting. Her LinkedIn and contact details are in the first comment. If you are a student and would like your work featured by Architecture Social, please check the first comment for the submission link and contact information.

A lot of architects reach the point where they want more than endless design revisions and last minute coordination. If you are more interested in technical delivery, Gateway 2 and seeing work properly built, this role is worth your attention.
A respected practice is looking for an ARB Architect to join its delivery team, working across RIBA Stages 3 to 5 with a clear focus on technical packages, consultant coordination, Building Regulations information and construction stage problem solving in Revit. This would suit someone who takes real pride in buildability, compliance and keeping design intent intact. The studio offers flexible hours, a friendly culture, strong repeat client relationships and proper support for long term growth.
