This episode is actually the final Aku episode of the original Samurai Jack run. He never shows up again outside of a visual cameo. This was actually the final episode of Samurai Jack for eleven months before Cartoon Network decided to release the final four episodes of the show on the same day. Which was odd because the show had a pretty consistent schedule up to that point. It would go from week to week and take breaks on the half seasons.
