🎉 👏 #Footmarks is published in the US today! For those that don’t know, it is a book about archaeology and movement, footprints, paths, roads, crossing lands and seas. A celebration of pilgrims and travellers and migrants.

One last thanks to everyone involved, staff, students, volunteers, visitors, and everyone in the local community-these excavations could not succeed without all of you. Only 11 more months until we can be back digging in Herefordshire once again!
Over at the other excavation running as part of this project, Tim Hoverd and team continued to investigate the Norman Snodhill Castle; have a listen to this to find out more: bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0g2yxk…
During the season we were visited by @howardmrw, who produced a great 7 video series on TikTok, which provides a nice summary of our excavations, which you can check out here: tiktok.com/@archaeodeath/vid…
We had hundreds of visitors-thanks to everyone who came to see us and chat to us, and to Kate Potter-Farrant and all the @EnglishHeritage volunteers for their incredible guided tours! We also got some BBC coverage: bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-he…
We were treated to some spectacular #Neolithic #Archaeology, including amazingly well preserved Cotswold-Severn long cairn architecture and a prehistoric quarry, which likely was used to construct it!
A huge thanks to our staff @t_elliot @johnpiprani, Louie, Catherine, @NatB_S, Max, Anna and Kate, all of the @UoMSALC @UoMCAHAE and @CUHistArchRel students past and present, and our wonderful team of volunteers for all your hard work.

A self-assembly Neolithic long mound? Huge amounts of stone in a possible #Neolithic quarry at #ArthursStone, potentially dug for constructing the mound. And our lovely revetted spoilheap! @UoMNews @UoMCAHAE @HistoricEngland #diggingforbritain
Spectacular archaeology at #ArthursStone this season so far-it's not often you get to dig something like this! @UoMNews @UoMCAHAE @HistoricEngland
