no it changes so much stuff in the later half of the game, it changes companion questlines, it changes side quests, it changes the city layout.
It matters to the people there, to your companions, to the city itself and it's not presented as a binary which makes it much more interesting than just morally good or morally bad decisions.
I'm not sure you understand this universe if you think either city could withstand being attacked the way they are.
Having the option to kick puppies or save the puppies is not an interesting decision.
The first major decision in veilguard is deciding between two equally bad options. That's more interesting than a binary morality.
evil choices are going away because of this, being evil in any of the dragon age games doesn't make any sense and just makes the game feel simple and less complex.
Like narrative decisions in Veilguard are 1000% more interesting than any games that allow you to be evil.

It'll be hated until the next game comes out then it'll be one of the better games.
Other characters will mention it, you can bring it up often both in dialogue choices and in incidental dialogue.
Even stuff like in the first blighted village in the early game you character will say they can sense the blight

I'm playing a Grey Warden and your background is probably the most reactive decision in the game. I would say it's even more reactive than Origins.

I will certainly be a lot less stressed out if this happens.
And it's not just the lore revelations, the way everyone comes together to puzzle them out is fantastic.
I get that, but it comes across kind of like the boss baby meme. Like the only point of comparison he could think of was that and not Jedi fallen order or God of War 2018?

The Veilguard companions also just like hangout more. They have different relationships with each other and bond over different things. None of that is in BG3 where outside of act 1 the companions don't do anything with each other

Imagine putting Witcher 3 in the good combat category.

He said the levels were like Overwatch maps for one.

I actually think Dragon Age has some of the best hitstop I've seen in a game. :)

I played Origins when it came out, and replayed the entire series earlier this year.
I really love Veilguard so far.

It's because it's really boring? To read a dialogue choice and then have the character say it verbatim. Having played games that do it this way, I very much think Bioware is right.

It took Matty a long time to come around on Inquistion, he's a little slow.

It's always been like this. People like to pretend Mass Effect and the other Dragon Age games are like Shakespeare when in reality they're marvel movies and always have been.
They go for big spectacle showcase and cheesy dialogue.
