You can make a lot of money selling on Amazon
You can make a lot of money selling a course about selling on Amazon
Be cautious of anymore making more money doing the second than they do with the first

Amazon sellers are abandoning 40% of their revenue.
"If I could leave Amazon, I would."
The return system is bleeding them dry.
Here's why sellers choose bankruptcy over Amazon:

If you can distribute your inventory to prep centers in these 5 areas you can guarantee 2 day shipping to 97% of all customers
This makes you competitive with FBA sellers and gets rid of the need to send products to fulfillment centers

Jeff Bezos once said "your margin is my opportunity"
Most sellers complaint Amazon screws them and throw this quote out.
But, same can be said in reverse. Amazon's margin is our opportunity.
- Heavily discounted product because amazon overbought from a supplier. Easy money
- Free shipping to my door in a box read for the next customers. Cha-Ching
- New promotions and credits. Take those all day
- Switcheroo cases because Amazon cares more about their customers than anything. Money in my pocket
- 15% for 100 million customers. LETS FUCKING GO
As Amazon and Walmart (maybe TikTok) go head to head, anything they do to entice sellers is our opportunity. Dont forget it

Hey @amznsellerhelp why is everyone still being directed to the reimbursement revaluation tool for post order reimbursements (customer switcheroos)
Because we have not heard back and thousands of dollars have been withheld, an FTC complaint has now been filed.
All employees who have handled our cases have also been logged. This is becoming a much larger problem than it needs to be.
Between all sellers this is to the tune of tens of millions of dollars

Amazon is drastically decreasing the storage space they give sellers in FBA. This is a straight up cash grab. Amazon is artificially limiting space to force sellers to bid on space or to use their overpriced and underperforming AWD service. Below is over 50 examples of...

Our return rates dropped significantly when we starting FBMing shoes.
Amazon customers know exactly what they're doing

Ran some numbers and it's time to put Amazon fulfillment centers out of business
190 FBM returns in the last 3 months:
+ $3,500 in safe-t claims awarded
- $2,280 in label costs
Net $1,220 positive
432 FBA returns in the last 3 months:
- $5,218 in FBA return admin and processing
- $482 in removal order fees
Net $5,700 negative
Total loss on all returns = $4,480
If all units had been sold FBM:
FBM = +$6.42 per unit returned
622 units returned
Total gain on returns = $3,993
$8,473 difference in 3 very slow months

Hot take but a trillion dollar company shouldn't be run by an army of VAs getting paid $2 an hour
Same invoices that work for ungates, auth complaints, and getting sourcing costs updated are not working to get sourcing costs for other line items updated
Fate of our businesses often lie in the hands of someone who really doesn't give a shit

Long thread
Went to Amazon鈥檚 offices again and met w/ directors, Principal Engineers, etc. Had a chance to meet with the Listings, Pricing, FBA, Vendor, and AWD teams
We have updates on previous issues and I had some time to talk to them about new issues

Amazon
We built a distribution network that allows you to get products to customers in under 2 days. This is damn near impossible and costs an insane amount of money
If you don't use it we wont give you buy box or push your listings. You HAVE to use it
We will allow our customers to break our TOS and return used and damaged products on your dime.
Now that your entire business is built around FBA we're going to raise fees substantially each year.
If you raise your prices to combat this we will remove your buy box throttling your sales.
On top of raising fees, we are going to add placement fees as well just because.
Because our warehouses are a shitshow and we are losing tons of your inventory we have reduced our reimbursement window from 180 to 60 days.
But this wasn't enough so now we will only reimburse you for your manufacturing costs. If our overworked employees who are pissing in bottles lose your inventory, you foot the bill for import, prep, shipping, & removals
This is a monopoly

Listened to @ArbitrageOps about how to remove Auth complaints...
I guess less is really more, only 1 left to go now down from like 5

Aren't you worried about return rates?
No, we know our return rates. We know what they cost. We know how much we lose to fraud. All of it is calculated before buying and our minimums reflect those returns.
If you're worried about them, you haven't dug deep enough

A common term used in colleges / universities is a "weed out" class.
This is a class or subject that is pretty difficult relative to other classes.
It's a great way to filter out people who aren't actually interested in a field (or just not smart enough).
If you want to be a software engineer, you need to get through Data Structures and Algorithms.
If you want to go to med school, you need to pass Organic Chemistry.
It's usually the people that truly want to dedicate themselves to these fields that are able to make it through and pursue a career in them.
Based on everything I've seen in the last 4 years I think we're seeing a similar phase with selling on Amazon.
Back in 2020, anyone with a phone and a car could go to their local Costco, buy all of the swimming pools and make thousands of dollars by listing them online.
I know several people who made well over six figures by flipping in demand items like PS5s, graphics cards, chlorine and sports cards.
The lockdown era was truly the golden age of reselling.
Those days are long gone and most went out of business because they couldn't adapt and learn how to source their own products.
This past year has been more of the same.
With section 3 deactivations and major brand restrictions, it seems like more sellers than ever are throwing in the towel.
This makes me more bullish than ever.
A lot of items I'm selling have seen a significant decrease in offer count, which has lead to less price tanking and more money in my pocket.
I have no problem admitting that getting started now is a lot harder compared to when I did it in 2021.
But for those who are dedicated, we're entering an unprecedented era of low competition on Amazon.
It's up to you to put in the work.
