Fun fact about me; I'm actually undisputably the worlds foremost leading expert on Metroid knowledge.
Switch version is literally too pixelated to play, it's unreal. I stopped & refunded after the second screen and pirated the PC version. Sorry not sorry.
Besides this, the game is a 65/100 at best, saved mostly by the visuals. I don't fault them for trying a new direction, but
Game devs: Focus on making it fun to play, don't inject your politics or change lore in a 40 year old series because it doesn't fit your own personal worldview. It's disrespectful to the series.
Again: we notice, we know what you're doing, you're not slick.
I'm so very sick of this take.
Samus locks up and has a slow motion flashback for like 5 seconds. PROBABLY because she JUST fucking KILLED Ridley like a week before, and was trying to figure out what the fuck was going on.
But in reality, it was meant for you, the player, to emphasize what intended to be a massive plot twist. And it's such a small thing that happens in the first place yet everyone acts like it's worse than 9/11.
I really need y'all to go replay Other M and this time, view its narrative like an anime.
So... Belmont's Curse looks like ass on Switch 2 for everyone, right? It's not just me?
Holy shit this is awful. I turned it off after literally the second screen, I can't even believe what I'm seeing. I might try to get refunded.
I must have watched this a dozen times. Man, this trailer is perfect. The music, pacing, voice over, and choice of shots is a masterclass. Whoever cut this trailer deserves a raise.
Also the damn music!? Can we get a vinyl of this, @Nintendo 🙏
It’s eat or be eaten when Metroid Ravenous, the latest game in the 2D Metroid series, arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 Jan 28! #NintendoDirect
