Debated deleting. I don't smoke cigars regularly but this is an exception. It's a tradition in the Tennessee v Alabama rivalry. Winners smoke cigars. Players, coaches, fans. You can see Tennessee fans lighting up in the stands with 3 minutes left in the game. So, I'm not deleting it. This isn't LinkedIn.
Third Saturday in October. On a Tennessee Saturday Night. Go Vols.

Neyland was unbelievable yesterday. As rabid of an environment as I have ever seen. People in my section were gnawing on the aluminum bleachers after 3rd down stops. Funneling dust after turnovers. Multiple federal crimes witnessed. Just an incredible amazing day.

This whole sequence was legendary. One of the best Neyland Effect moments that I’ve ever seen.

A Tennessee native QB and Knoxville native RB dominating Alabama is so special to me man. Makes me almost tear up.

The thing about 24 that bothers me most is… Who is this for? It’s not because TV was begging for it. ESPN had to be convinced. It’s not for a boatload of new cash. Losing conf champ games is gonna make this a minimal gain. It’s not because the 22nd team has any shot at a natty. It doesn’t. It’s certainly not done with the health, safety, or academic success of the players in mind since they don’t even get a say in this. It’s entirely to appease the people donating the money that keeps a financially irresponsible business model afloat. It’s discounting success so schools can say “look what your donation bought.” It’s an industry hellbent on treating investors and bosses as the customer, and customers as an infinite resource that will keep coming back no matter what.

"College football is dying" says man who will watch 20 hours of college football over next three days.
Sources: The College Football Playoff is nearing a deal to expand to 24 teams, per sources. The new format will start in 2027 and is expected to come together in the near future, pending final approvals.

Sacrificed the best regular season in sports so that 8-4 Big Ten teams can lose by 13. Awesome stuff.

Time to bump one of my favorite videos October 15th, 2022 - A watch party for Tennessee vs Alabama hears the roar of Neyland after the game winning kick by Tennessee, and then sees it on TV after the 20 second delay

The Vols are wasting a really good 2026 defense because they didn't sign a veteran QB. If Heupel losses to his former OC as a first-year HC at Auburn? Cue up @BoardGeniuses.
Josh Heupel is 30 minutes away from some seriously uncomfortable conversations taking place on Rocky Top.

Our inability to EVER match up both sides of the ball in the same year since 2001 is actually insane.
Wasting another great defense..
