So, I've been doing a lot of thinking. I keep saying "I'll stream again soon" and it just doesn't happen. I think... as much as I don't want it to, I think it's time I accept that my time streaming has come to an end. It was an amazing experience, and I made wonderful (1/n)

you cant upgrade your computer parts because memory manufacturers and chip makers have exited the retail space in favor of ai companies, which have pre bought all of their stock in order to put it in warehouses where it'll never be used. what a farce
Business Insider confirms it: Amazon has warehouses of GPUs that can’t be installed, and is buying them so far in advance that a supply chain team said they “didn’t have a clear forecasted path” to installing them.

AI is literally a scam, the most sophisticated scam ever. They created a machine that mimics the output of intelligence. Then told everyone it was really intelligent — an impossibility, but the illusion was convincing. Based on that deception, they fleeced investors of trillions.

Basically Meta is saying if you use their services at a professional capacity, they have the right to use and profit from any material of yours located anywhere on the internet. Insane.

I can’t stress enough that this would mean the complete extinction of human culture. You need art because it connects you to all who’ve gone before you; it challenges you to embrace perspectives not your own. Media generated to your exact preferences is the death of the soul.

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

Fundamentally, AI techbro culture is a deeply American resentment about the fundamental fact that "Money can't buy skills or knowledge. You have to put in effort".
They don't even want the fruits of said skills or knowledge, they just want to crush those who have them.

I can’t believe I have to say this, but Trump saying “Let them take out Los Angeles and San Diego, it's a small price to pay” should be grounds for 25th Amendment removal.
No president, regardless of political affiliation, should be fine with a US city getting nuked.
