The MacOS Jailbreak Repository Crawler for APT (Cydia), Installer 3 & Installer 4 repositories will be released later today.

Installer 5.1 compiled on MacOS 26 (catalyst).
Just compiled straight, as a proof of concept and to see what Installer’s UI & UX on MacOS is.
It will need rethinking in several areas for it to make it a MacOS package manager rather than an iOS app running on MacOS.

Hi everyone,
Due to the lack of jailbreaks (the most recent jailbreak for arm64/e is for an iOS version from November 2023, iOS 16.5.1) development in Installer 5.1 has been halted.
Should a new jailbreak get released we will revisit this decision.

Lima Installer, the first web based package manager for jailbroken iOS devices, which launched in 2011 and shut down in 2013, is now fully open source under the MIT license.

At the moment this build is only targeted for rootless jailbreaks. It contains a new depiction controller which is a work in progress (=unfinished) but can be tested.

We’ve been sitting on this release for a long time, but rootless (and especially all the different implementations of it) kinda threw us off.
It’s still ready to release for root jailbreaks, with some changes needed for rootless whenever it’s clear what the standard will be.

Twitter suspended our @AppTappTeam account over a year ago, and @TwitterSupport has not responded to our second appeal.
We had well over 14.000 followers and it was a very important part of ‘brand’.
Our first appeal was rejected for ‘operating fake accounts’.

Last known backend issue fixed, looking for some people who are jailbroken and have previously tested Installer or other software projects.
Cr4shed needs to be installed (though no current crashes are known) and you need to have a GitHub account in order to report issues.

Hello from a brand new (sandboxed for now) version of Installer 5.1 on iOS 16.

Installer 5.1 looks and works amazingly well on the iPad Pro on iOS 16. All known issues have been fixed, new features have been added, and a ton of backend changes.
