Standing with working families means recognizing the power of people coming together. I’m proud to stand with those who never stopped fighting for a voice, and I’ll always be in their corner.
Kinda chic to win a union!
Congrats to @GigUnionSoCal & @GigUnionNorCal on winning their union! After years of organizing against gig companies that spent millions, geographically dispersed drivers with no common workplace, built power to win a voice on the job & collective bargaining. This is worker power!

This law is a major victory for working people across Illinois. Innovation should never come at the expense of workers’ rights.

Yesterday, SB 2906 — critical legislation that gives 100,000 Rideshare drivers the right to form a union — was heard in the Senator Labor Committee. Drivers shared their powerful stories and made it clear that the status quo isn’t working — drivers need real protections.
A Waymo robotaxi blocked an ambulance from reaching the scene of last weekend's mass shooting in Austin, exposing the limits of remote supervision systems in AV networks when vehicles — or the public — need urgent intervention. trib.al/Xp65z7f

I stand with @AldRodriguez22 and his team after this morning’s aggressive raids in Little Village. Two city employees - who are U.S. citizens - were detained as federal agents acted with “utter disregard for constitutional rights.”
We demand accountability and justice.
At least seven people were detained by agents during the mid-morning raid, including Jacqueline Lopez and Elianne Bahena, Ald. Rodriguez’s chief of staff, an elected member of the Ogden District Police Council. Both are U.S. citizens, Rodriguez said. to.wttw.com/43rR5hd
