Smash Ultimate is getting a native PC port no emulator required. The open-source project ssbu-recomp uses static recompilation to turn Super Smash Bros. Ultimate into a native Windows program. - Runs full 1v1 matches at 59–60 FPS - Vulkan renderer with OpenGL fallback - AI-assisted development using Claude - Fighter move scripts editable in C++ - Future plans include rollback netcode, expanded modding and Steam Deck support Still early, with performance hitches and several untested modes.
